Before,during & after my recent total left hip replacement I was looked after by Dr Sorial and despite being very busy he listened carefully to any concerns & questions I had and sent me for more tests when necessary. I did not have an easy recovery,but his caring attitude (which is not the norm these days) contributed greatly. Thank you,Dr Sorial.

Mine was a complicated leg fracture. I had broken the neck off the top of my leg in America. The US surgeon put me back together so badly that it caused a second break further down the leg. Thank goodness for Mr Soriel and the NHS. Mr Soriel put me back together and repaired both breaks. After 18 weeks my bones are fully healed. The orthopaedic team at Harrogate are known to be excellent at their job and Mr Soriel was recommended to me by the Head of the Department as the best surgeon to carry out this particular operation. And so it proved. I have been extremely pleased with the way Mr Soriel has looked after me during and after the operation. He always answered my questions, told me to be cautious where necessary, and certainly knows his stuff.

Can only say a big THANK YOU to this kind gentleman. Gave me the correct advice, but was kind enough to realize I was frightened by the idea of an operation, so let me make the decision. The subsequent procedure went perfectly, the arm is as good as new. I did get "Great Care!"

We saw Mr Sorial three times after my little girl broke her right arm. It was only a hairline fracture, so nothing too terrible and healed quickly, but Mr Sorial was great with G, and was also very realistic about managing such an injury in an energetic 5 year old. His friendly nature (and that of his colleagues too) made the visits to clinic much easier - although it would be fair to say that G did skip out once she had been discharged and knew she didn't have to wear the sling anymore! Also, I asked if it would be possible to have something in writing to prove to council swimming classes that G had been unable attend due to a broken arm. Mr Sorial promised to send a copy of his letters to the GP, and they arrived the next day! Fabulous service all round. Thank you

I had a very bad fall and fractured my ankle terribly, I had to initially have a frame on it and 4 pins in place, then I had to have more surgery to have the frame removed and a metal plate and pins placed in my ankle. It was a very traumatising experience, however Mr Sorial was absolutely outstanding. He put me totally at ease, explained everything brilliantly and as a surgeon I cannot give more praise! I cannot thank him enough for everything he has done for me, Harrogate Hospital are lucky to have him. Thank you Mr Sorial.
